This committee will develop a model Gas Transportation Agreement, to be used in different contexts, and as a complementary instrument with the Gas Sales Agreement. The drafting committee is co-chaired by Andreas Gunst (DLA Piper) and Ariel Kaufman (TOTAL).
International Operating Agreement (JOA) - Revision of 2002 Model Form

The Board has charged the JOA Revision Committee to update and to the extent possible simplify and shorten the 2002 Model JOA, create guidance notes and refine the presentation for the Model JOA. Appointed Co-Chairs are James Barnes (Barnes & Cascio) and Garry Howe (Noble Energy).
Joint Operating Agreement 2002 - Australian version (Guidance Notes)

The AIPN Board has approved formation of a working committee to prepare Guidance Notes to assist practitioners with converting the AIPN Model International Operating Agreement – 2002 for use in offshore Australian joint operations.
Greg Heath, Senior Counsel, BHP Billiton, and Andrew Thompson, Resources & Energy Partner, Minter Ellison, have been appointed co-chairs of the Committee. They would welcome participation from persons with experience in using/adapting the Model Contract for use in Australia or who are interested in this topic.
LNG Sales Agreement (SPA)

This committee will develop a model Spot and Short Term Sales and Purchase Agreement ("LNG SPA") for the sale and purchase of LNG in the international marketplace. The LNG SPA model contract is intended to be a balanced form (as between sellers and buyers) and a form of general applicability, namely not tailored for sales of LNG from or into any specific country. The LNG SPA Model Contract will include alternatives and options, as well as guidance or drafting notes, similar to other model contracts developed in recent years by AIPN.
Model Contracts Term Sheets "Study and Bidgroup" - Currently in development.

The AIPN Term Sheets Drafting Commitee is working on preparing a Term Sheet for the newly revised AIPN Study and Bidgroup Agreement as well as the Guidance Notes for this Term Sheet. The term sheets and guidance notes will identify the essential terms of the model contracts and facilitate their use.
