France's energy industry generates CO2 emissions that are significantly lower than its neighbouring countries, mainly due to the high proportion of nuclear in its energy mix. Nuclear energy also contributes to France's energy independence.

As countries around the world are considering expanding their nuclear capacity or building their first nuclear power station, there are many challenges to consider. In this event and webinar organized by the Europe Chapter and co-host CentraleSupelec Sustainable Energy, our speakers will discuss those challenges, the advantages, and the future of the nuclear industry in France as well as in the world.

Debates will follow addressing the themes of:

  • Know-how and skills management in the long term
  • Regulatory and societal issues
  • An overview of the different strategies adopted around the world
