Join us virtually for the 2021 Model Contracts Workshop!

The AIPN Model Contracts Workshop is an integral part of the organizations’ most well-known service providing an annual forum for meaningful dialogue, participation and feedback on AIPN’s model forms.

As in years past, the workshop will feature presentations and interactive discussions on current trends and model forms in development, but this year it will be presented entirely online. We’re excited to offer more flexible and equally engaging options, allowing members around the world the opportunity to attend, without the major hassle and expense of travel commitments. The 2021 program features two different time-zone tracks for those in the Eastern and Western hemispheres to take advantage of the working groups and open discussions led by drafting co-chairs, provide their input, ask questions, and connect with other attendees in a convenient time.

Each time-zone track will offer working sessions on the following model forms in development:

  • International Joint Operating Agreement (proposed revision to the 2012 model contract)
  • LNG Sale and Purchase Agreement (new model)

As well as presentations from industry practitioners on the:

  • Asset Sale and Purchase Agreement, and
  • Unitization and Unit Operating Agreement

In addition, the workshop will feature an interactive session to identify members’ needs for new model forms and defining opportunities to add to the AIPN model contracts in response to the increased demand for lower carbon energy solutions and the energy transition.

Both tracks will also feature multiple networking sessions each day. These networking sessions will be hosted on Remo, a browser-based program that delivers an immersive networking experience that feels like everyone's in the same room. Its built-in engagement features simulate in-person networking events, allowing attendees to freely move about the virtual space to have conversations with people at different tables. This type of online networking tool provides an opportunity to engage with other AIPN members and attendees from around the world, meet new people who you might not have met otherwise and form meaningful connections, all in the comfort of your home or office.

This year’s virtual format presents a wonderful opportunity for AIPN’s geographically diverse membership to participate in the association’s flagship workshop at a reasonable cost no matter where you are around the world!
