The sanctions-related amendments to the Russian Arbitrazh Procedure Code have caused much controversy among the business community in Russia and abroad. As more than a year has passed since the date of enactment, the first practice of Russian courts have started to emerge. Organized by the CIS-FSU Chapter, this presentation will cover all available court cases on the issue and discuss various approaches adopted by the Russian courts with respect to the amendments to date. Special focus will be given to Uraltransmash v PESA case, where the Russian Supreme Court is expected to issue a ruling determining the "game rules" with respect to the disputes against the sanctioned persons. The presentation will be followed by a networking reception. Food and drinks will be served.
