Keynote Speaker Dr. David Ige, Chief Executive Officer, GasInvest Limited

Dr. David Ige was the Group Executive Director (Gas & Power) of the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation, a position he held until 2015. He is currently the Chief Executive Officer of GasInvest Limited, a gas advisory and consultancy firm. He was also previously a Group General Manager/Senior Technical Adviser to the Group Managing Director of NNPC, and an Adviser to the Honourable Minister for Petroleum Resources and was Acting Managing Director of the Gas Aggregation Company of Nigeria (GACN).

He played a focal role in the development and implementation of the Nigerian Gas Master Plan (NGMP), which aims to lay a solid framework for gas infrastructure expansion in Nigeria. Before joining the NNPC in 2005, he worked with Shell International Petroleum Company in the Netherlands and United Kingdom as a reservoir Engineer. Dr. Ige was the first Nigerian in the history of the Shell Group to be employed for International Operations within the Shell Group as a Petroleum Engineer. In 2000, he joined the Strategy Practice of Accenture’s Global Energy practice in London, providing consultancy services in strategy development etc. for major oil and gas companies in the US, UK, Norway and Angola.
